La Lande is a tastefully restored, French 18th century character farmhouse offering gites (holiday cottages), as well as bed & breakfast accommodation for holiday rentals in Normandy, Northern France. We are set in a peaceful hamlet away from traffic, but within in a mile of the little medieval market town of Bricquebec, in the middle of the Manche Peninsula. A twenty minute drive through the rolling countryside of France, from the port at Cherbourg brings you to our front door where a warm welcome awaits you. We have miles of clean, beautiful Atlantic beaches within just 15 minutes drive & the D-Day landing beaches are also within easy reach, with St Mere Eglise just 20 minutes drive from us. World War II Battlefield tours of the D-Day sites can be arranged for you, individually tailored to take in your main points of interest. (Please see our Things To Do page).

We have two beautiful, spacious, 'gites' which is the French word for holiday cottages. We've made a particular effort to focus on quality furnishings, delectably comfortable beds, a wealth of attractive, original features combined with all modern comforts, whilst remaining totally child-friendly. We've endeavoured to make your Normandy holiday cottage like a home from home.

Each gite has it's own terrace & our 2 acres of garden offer you plenty more space, swings & an in-ground trampoline, for children to play safely, well away from roads. We have horses, cats & chickens as well as our super friendly Jack Russell, Scoot, who loves to accompany our guests on walks. Changover day is Saturday in the peak season & we can be flexible at other times of the year.

We also offer you top quality B & B for your Normandy vacation, in the gite bedrooms, when they are not otherwise booked for self catering (There are 4 big bedrooms, all ensuite). Ground floor or 1st floor bedrooms are available. Breakfast is served in the gardens in summer & either Kestrel's dining area, or our farmhouse kitchen otherwise. We will offer you delicious croissants (fresh daily from the local bakery), coffee, tea, bread & pastries, fruit & yogurts. Also, 2, 3 or 4 course dinners, all home-cooked using home-grown or local produce where possible; please book in advance.
